Shay is military wife who just doesn't fit in with the others. She just got married to Cam the love of her life, and she isn't ready for kids just yet. Cam is an amazing husband and they have made a great history together. Shay still can't believe Cam picked her. Cam gets deployed, and Shay isn't feeling too good about it. Shay's life is fixing to change for the worse, and there will be nothing she can do to help it.

Shay is devastated after Cam dies in combat. She doesn't want to move on, so she dies a little inside as well. She has cut everyone off and keeps to herself. The last thing she wants is a friend, and the last person she expects to show up trys to help her. Will Shay be able to see a future without Cam in it?! Will anyone be able to help her out of this dark place she's in?

Shay thinks her husband Cam is dead, but when he shows up after 6 months of being gone she is stunned. Not only is he here but he just caught her making out with Jacob. Shay has to make the hardest choice of her life... to stay with the love of her life Cam, or to move forward with Jacob. Jacob has brought her out of her darkness, and she's in love with him now too.
